Teen Book Display: Titles with snappy dialogue & word-play

John Green. You can just tell he would write excellent dialog, right?

At Middleton Public Library, we pull together a new table-top book display in the teen section every couple weeks.  It’s a super-easy way to market old and new titles in the collection and to do a little passive readers’ advisory work for shy readers who may be less likely to ask for new titles at the desk.

You can pull together a display like this in four easy steps:

  1. Get Theme.  Ask your Teen Advisory Council for suggestions!
  2. Collect some titles.  Your TAC will have good suggestions here, too.
  3. Create a theme poster with a list of all the titles, just in case the display sells out.
  4. Set up the titles on a tabletop with your poster… and viola!
