Tiny Tips for Library Fun: Programming Idea Sparklers

Tiny Tips for Library Fun is the blog brainchild of Marge Loch-Wouters, a Children’s  Librarian in LaCrosse Wisconsin.  Her site features a wonderful collection of programming ideas and resources that you can find by clicking on “Program Ideas” in the category cloud in the left-hand sidebar on the site.

One of my favorite series of posts is the Idea Sparklers series, Marge’s programming notes from the field that she collects when visiting other libraries.

Tiny Tips for Library Fun: Idea Sparklers #10 – Fun Notes from the Field is a perfect example, and includes notes for the following program ideas:

  • Book Relays
  • Post Summer Reading Program movie showings (air-conditioning + popcorn!)
  • Outdoor water day (program + visible PR)

and more!  Other Idea Sparklers posts are linked at the bottom of the post, so you can find them all, and the Tiny Tips for Library Fun Blog offers a range of RSS and subscription options to keep up with the news.
